Sustainability at Warnford

Our vision for the ground that cares for us — today and for the next 140 years.

Warnford is not just a cricket ground. It is a piece of the Hampshire countryside that the Hampshire Hogs have held in trust for their members — and for the generations of members who will come after them — since 1994. The ground sits in the Meon Valley, one of the most beautiful and ecologically rich valleys in southern England, surrounded by ancient woodland, chalk downland, and the kind of landscape that takes centuries to establish and moments of carelessness to damage.

We take that responsibility seriously. The Hampshire Hogs' approach to sustainability is not about virtue signalling or chasing accreditations. It is about doing the right thing for a place we love, reducing the environmental footprint of everything we do at Warnford, and using the best available technology to maintain the ground to the highest standard with the least possible impact on the countryside around it.

"We did not inherit this ground from our predecessors. We are borrowing it from those who will come after us."
