Bar & Catering at Warnford
Proper food, proper ales, and a pavilion worth lingering in.
A cricket match at Warnford lasts a day. The bar is open for most of it. This is not a coincidence — it is a design feature, and one the Hampshire Hogs have always taken seriously.
The pavilion bar is the social heart of the ground. From the 2026 season, the bar and catering offer at Warnford has been enhanced significantly through a new partnership with the Flower Pots Inn and Brewery in nearby Cheriton — one of Hampshire's most celebrated independent breweries.
"A pint of Goodens Gold, a view of the Meon Valley, and a game of declaration cricket. There are worse ways to spend a Saturday."
The Pavilion Bar
Cask & Bottled Ales
A rotating selection of Flower Pots ales on cask and in bottle, including award-winning regulars and seasonal specials. Always at least one Flower Pots cask ale on match days.
Wine & Soft Drinks
A selection of red, white and rosé wines by the glass or bottle. Fresh juices, Coca-Cola, sparkling and still water, squashes and cordials.
Spirits & Mixers
A well-stocked spirit selection including gin, whisky, vodka and rum, with a range of mixers. Served at the bar or in the pavilion.
Bar Stewards
Run by volunteer bar stewards, led by John Parkinson, whose knowledge of cricket is exceeded only by his knowledge of what you are about to order. Card payments accepted.
Our Partners — The Flower Pots Inn & Brewery
Flower Pots Ale — On Tap at Warnford
We serve one Flower Pots cask ale at a time — chosen from across their range of regulars and seasonals, including Goodens Gold, Pots Bitter, Perridge Pale, Hopton IPA and Knight's Mild, alongside fortnightly specials. As the 2026 season progresses, we will be working our way through the range. We expect the research to be thorough and the conclusions to be well-informed.
Catering & Match Lunches
On match days with a formal lunch, the catering is provided by the team at the Flower Pots Inn — celebrating the best of Hampshire produce, served in the generous, unfussy style that suits a day at the cricket. Lunches are served in the pavilion for regular match days and in the marquee for the club's principal events.
Match teas — the famous Warnford tea of sandwiches, scones, sausage rolls and home-baked cake — are prepared separately by members of the club. See our Cricket Teas page for the full tradition.
Private Hire Catering
Hiring the Warnford ground for a private match, corporate event, or celebration? Catering can be arranged through the Flower Pots Inn — from a traditional cricket tea to a formal sit-down lunch for up to 60 in the pavilion, or up to 150 in a boundary marquee. Please contact the Honorary Secretary via the Ground Hire page.
